An integrated home platform that brings broadband, energy management, security, and family controls into a single interface. The premise is that connectivity, energy, and home services work better together than separately.

The prototype demonstrates real-time energy monitoring with smart meter data, Wi-Fi 7 mesh management, AI-driven insights, and unified family controls. Telcos already have hardware in every home and increasingly hold energy data; this explores what a platform built on that position could look like.

Why This Matters

UK broadband providers are sitting on an unrealised platform. They already have hardware in every home (the gateway), relationships with energy suppliers (via smart meter rollout), and the technical capability to integrate security and home automation. What's missing is the software layer that ties it together and the product thinking to make it valuable.

This prototype explores what that could look like: a single app that replaces the router admin page, the energy supplier portal, the security system app, and the family screen-time controls. One interface, one subscription, one relationship.
